Who We Are

The Quilted Beehive is Ogden’s Buzz’n Little Quilt Shop. We are a fun and vibrant fabric and notion shop located in Rainbow Gardens at the mouth of Ogden Canyon.

Our wide variety of fabrics, patterns and notions are sure to find their way into your next project. Our talented staff and guest instructors offer many classes for beginners to advanced quilters. We value our quilting community and welcome customers to linger longer around our cutting tables to share ideas, inspiration and friendship.

About the Owner, Mandy Swanson.

I was born and raised in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. My family and I moved to Utah in 2015 and we quickly fell in love with the Beehive State. I have been married to my husband, Mike for over 25 years and we have four growing children that keep us busy and entertained. My love for sewing blossomed at a young age and evolved into a fairly healthy quilting habit during my time in college. Quilting is my stress relief and keeps my sanity intact (most days)!

My husband and I have traveled near and far, always stopping at quilt shops along the way to collect fabric and ideas for “one day” when we might own our own shop. We have spent decades dreaming and planning for that “one day” to arrive. I am delighted to have the opportunity to purchase such a BEE-UTAH-FUL shop that has come with such a lovely community of quilters!
